It snowed! Or, rather, is still snowing. A lot. It started in the wee hours of the morning (and I know, because I was awake -_-) and it's supposed to continue well into the night. I think they're saying 12-20 inches? Par for the course in Oberlin, but certainly not in south Jersey. Wow. White Christmas ahoy!!

Speaking of Oberlin -- I got an email today with some more information for the coming semester. I'm apparently in Johnson 103. I spent about 5 minutes going "WAIT WTF IS JOHNSON I HAVE NEVER HEARD OF THAT" before I figured out that it's Hebrew Heritage House. Awesome! It's honestly a little farther from the "heart" of campus than I'd like to be (all my classes last year were within a block and a half of my dorm, and my dining hall was right across the street), but it's not like being in Tank or Firelands or anything. I'm slightly concerned because the e-mail mentioned nothing about a roommate (or rather, said "Your roommate(s), if applicable: [blank]"). I did specifically request a double, preferably a divided double. Not because I like sharing my space (quite the opposite), but having people all up in my grill does actually force me to present some kind of normal facade on my life. Which I guess I sort of need. So I'll have to look into this.

It's really only kind of hitting me now that in thirteen days, David Tennant will no longer be the Doctor. I know it may be stupid to be upset about that, but there you go. I just...I really adore him in that role. He's meant so, so much to me over the past two and a half years (which is when I started watching) and I'm going to miss him more than I care to admit. I'll admit, I'm scared about the regeneration scene. It's going to hurt me.

I've been in a huge funk for the past three or four days. Can't seem to shake it. All I do is sit around and cry and feel like the worst person in the world. But that's for another entry, or maybe not for any entry ever because no one wants to hear all that.

The kitten has been named! I have dubbed him "Mika" ("MEE-ka"). I found it on a baby name site; it claimed it meant "Gift from God" in Hebrew. However, that baby name site is full of crap; every other website says it means "Who is like God?" (Yes...it is a name that is a question. I don't know, man.) I don't like that as much, but it's a good cat name. It rolls off the tongue whether you're saying "Mika! Come here, sweet little handsome guy" or "MIKA, GET THE FUCK OUT OF MY ROOM NOW." And I have occasion to say both multiple times a day.

He is trying very hard to befriend Sylvia. It is not going well.

Anyway, I love the little guy, but there are a few things he needs to learn.

I've gone through like half a spray bottle tonight trying to teach him not to chew on wires or scratch me. But he purrs whenever I squirt him, so I may need to find a new discipline method :/

Also, I played him some songs by the singer with whom he shares a name. He loved "Big Girl (You Are Beautiful)"!

Got called in to work today, though I wasn't scheduled. Was supposed to be there from 9 to 3:15, but ended up staying an hour later :/ Which would have been ok except my uterus attacked me with a vengeance halfway through the day. I thought I was going to pass out. Hrrrrgh.

I do not want to study for my last Child Psych test.

He is so gorgeous. And he likes me SO much. He's 4 months old, so he's not like a BABY baby.

Sylvia is NOT happy, though. At all. She flat out attacked him when she saw him at first, which was scary, and spent ten minutes puffed up and growling and hissing at him. Now she's just alternating between giving him the most terrifying evil eye I've ever seen and ignoring him completely while she gives US disapproving looks. She's been so lonely and sad ever since Oreo died, we thought getting her a friend would be good. But she's always been super bitchy and jealous, so it'll probably take a while before she warms up to him. Poor lady.

Still working on a name for the new guy. I was considering Stewart, after Jon Stewart. Also Cap'n Jack, after Jack Harkness. But my family probably wouldn't like those. My sister likes Maccabee, after Judah Maccabee, since he's a Hannukah kitty, but Lysander hates that. I'll look around a bit more.

I got an EPIC paycheck today. Well, epic considering the fact that I am a part-time cashier. Still, I did a major double-take when the ATM was all "You have deposited a check for $blah. Is this the correct amount?" Yaaaay I have NEVER had this much money in my account XD So I can start doing my holiday shopping now. All holiday shopping this year is taking place online as I hate actually shopping -_-

wrestlingdog comes home tomorrow. This is AWESOME.

But what is obviously the most important thing to share with you is that ( I SAW THE GLEE SEASON FINALE. )

My mom is taking me somewhere tomorrow. She will not tell me where. She says it's a surprise. I have never been more confused and impatient in my life. Because she's never done anything like this before. RRRR. My current hope is that we're going somewhere to pick up a new kitten. Because I am five.

Speaking of being five, my nephew has invented a game called "College." He says that "it's like playing School, but the rules are slightly different." We wrote down the rules and I think every college student could benefit from following them:
